Other people try friends and family which in many cases prove to be more stressful and less successful than using a crowdfunding platform. Some use payday loan companies and pawn shops but with the high interest rates they find themselves in worse shape once the loan payments start. 

Over 2 million businesses worldwide have shut down permanently since the coronavirus outbreak, and on top of that, the businesses that remain open continue to lay off and furlough millions of workers.

First-time claims for unemployment benefits globally is in the millions, the world economy is spinning uncontrollably downward, and there is no solution in sight to stop the world from entering into a global recession or depression.

First-time claims for unemployment benefits have surged more than 3,000% since early March 2020. Unemployment is up to 4.4% and the U.S. is down 701k jobs, emphasizing the importance of having immediate source of help to make ends meet.
